Desch | The Art of Recycled Plastic Trailer

A cinematic trailer where a thoughtful script, compelling voice over, music, sound design, acting, tight lighting plan and a stylistic shot list come together.

The steps of production

For Desch, we have previously had the opportunity to do great projects with a cinematic angle, including the corporate film. Their campaign "The Art of Recycled Plastic" required a film, completely in the style of a cinematic trailer. This meant actors, a cool location, good lighting and tight editing.

From the very first moment, we set to work with conviction. After the script and voice-over were conceived in consultation, a shot list was devised in which the video was worked out to the second. A cool location was scouted and visited in advance to investigate any possibilities and limitations beforehand. Several actors were cast by QuickWorks, with a separate brieifing for clothing and make-up for each actor or actress.

QuickWorks was on set for this production with three cameramen, a lighting man with assistant, a make-up artist, several actors, catering and production support to watch the schedule, direct actors and help where necessary. A long filming day with much pre-arranged and custom-made props, of which the image of "The Thinker" is the icing on the cake, the QuickWorks crew went home satisfied.

Then post-production began, in which we combined the shot footage with the voice over and gave both colour and sound a major overhaul. The result? A video that we as QuickWorks are very proud of, but which was also very well received by the client. The video has now been used in online promotions, on the client's YouTube channel and shown during a trade fair. The reactions so far have been very positive.
